Software
Under licensed distribution with the 46th and 412th test Wings, the ATAC Data Processing System (DPS), in concert with an IRIG Chapter 10 SSR, MARS-II or MERLIN Recording system offers the user the ability to analyze data immediate after a test. The DPS software was designed using modern object-oriented techniques and optimized to run on the latest 32-bit operating systems from Microsoft. The user interface provides many easy-to-use features including drag-and-drop output definition, point-and-click data format election, and standard Windows menus. The DPS Software uses a standard format to store parameter definitions making it easy to import existing definitions.
The Project Screen allows the user to visually identify key information such as channel assignments, parameter libraries and output formats. (Click on images or link)
The Parameter Definition screen allows the user to create libraries that describe how to extract user data from the input screen. (Click on images or link)
Output files are easily created with a drag-and-drop interface for all defined channels with associated library. (Click on images or link)
The Mission Pass Editor provides a way to identify specific time slices and associated output files from which to extract data. (Click on images or link)
Stand-alone data reduction capability. Removable hard drives provide multi-level classification capability. Standard format files and use of an off-the-shelf database make the system compatible with existing software. Rapid data turnaround facilitates timely decisions supporting aggressive test schedules. Flexible reporting tools provide answers for engineers and technicians. Network connectivity and CD-ROM writer make data distribution a snap. Tested and supported libraries for F-15, F-16 and A-10 aircraft are already developed to support DPS.
